A romance with a thriller’s edge. The story follows Nikita “Niki” Dash, a VJ at a Mumbai TV network, and the devastating consequences of a marriage proposal gone wrong on live television — an idea that first came to Vani intuitively, during a quiet moment at home, as she wondered what might happen if a young celebrity was approached by someone with harmful intentions.

It’s primarily a love story, but with real tension running through it — fame, obsession, and how quickly a woman’s life and career can be upended by someone else’s fixation. Vani spent years researching the worlds of Indian television, football, medicine, and Parsi language and custom to get the details right.
