A windmill beneath an immense celestial sky, and a love that reaches further than the phrase usually allows.
The Story Behind the Painting
A windmill stands beneath an enormous celestial sky in I Love You to the Moon and Back, to Infinity and Beyond.
Like You Are My Universe, this large painting emerged during a deeply spiritual period in Vani’s life. The familiar earthly landscape sits beneath something far larger and more mysterious: a luminous galaxy filled with stars, light and an almost limitless sense of space.
A pathway winds through the landscape towards the windmill, creating a connection between the earthly world below and the seemingly infinite universe above.
The words incorporated into the painting begin with the familiar expression of loving someone “to the moon and back”, but deliberately take it further: to infinity and beyond. The phrase becomes both an expression of love and an acknowledgement of something that cannot easily be contained within physical boundaries.
Like the painting that preceded it, this work also carries a personal message to a person or being who was central to Vani during this period of spiritual expansion. The universe may appear immeasurably vast, yet within that vastness there remains a deeply personal point of connection.
The painting brings together love, landscape, fantasy, spirituality and the cosmos, allowing the intimate and the infinite to occupy the same world.
Vani has also stood beside this large canvas to show its scale — a piece made to be immersive as much as intimate.
