What Is Access Bars and Can It Really Calm a Busy Mind?

Ever wished you could switch off the endless chatter in your head? The overthinking, the worrying, the same thoughts going round and round?

If that sounds familiar, you might find Access Bars interesting.

What Exactly Is Access Bars?

Access Bars is a gentle, hands-on energy practice involving 32 points on the head. Within the Access Bars tradition, these points are associated with different aspects of life, including relationships, money, creativity, control and beliefs.

The idea is that gently touching these points may help release limiting thoughts, beliefs and patterns that we continue to carry, sometimes without even realising it.

Think of it as giving your busy mind a little breathing room.

What Does It Feel Like?

There’s nothing complicated about receiving Access Bars. You simply lie down comfortably while I gently touch specific points on your head.

Some people describe feeling deeply relaxed, peaceful or unusually quiet in their minds. Others drift off to sleep. And some notice very little.

There’s no particular sensation you’re supposed to experience.

How I Offer Access Bars

Unlike my distant Reiki sessions, Access Bars is offered in person, by prior appointment, in a private setting.

My approach is individual rather than mechanical. Depending on what feels appropriate, I may also incorporate Reiki or other energetic clearing practices into the session.

Can It Really Calm a Busy Mind?

Some people find the experience calming and relaxing, particularly when their minds feel overwhelmed by everyday thoughts and responsibilities.

But everyone’s experience is different, and I wouldn’t promise that a single session will quiet every worry or change an ingrained pattern.

Access Bars is a complementary wellness practice, not a treatment for anxiety, insomnia or other medical conditions.

Sometimes, simply allowing yourself a little stillness is a lovely place to begin.

Not Sure Where to Begin?

Most people who write to me don’t know if they need Reiki, a past-life session, or something else — and that’s alright.

A short paid consultation gives us time to talk through what’s going on for you, so we can agree on the most useful next step before you commit to a particular session.
